Poker Life of Curtom
Posted by Curtom | October 12, 2008 | Posted in: Articles, News, Poker Tournament | Comments (0)The weekend isn’t even over yet and I have already cashed in all three multi-table tournaments I have played. Each of those tournaments had over 1500 players and I went deep into every one of them. I was disappointed last night when I played the $3000 Guaranteed tourney because I had a tremendous chips lead going into level eight only to get cold decked for two hours. It happens but it sure is frustrating when you have such a big lead. I tried a few steals and all but by that time everyone had big stacks averaging around 30k. I had 26k after the first break after an incredible rush that allowed me to accumulate big chips with pocket Aces three times and pocket Kings twice.
As usual no one would lay down Ace King and I was able to easily put myself in position to make a run. I ended up 78 out of 1562. Not bad but not where you want to be either. It’s kinda funny that no matter how well you do as a poker player if you do not win first place it’s just so disappointing. The other tournaments I did well in also and went out 101 out of 1650 and 95 out of 1800. Again, so close yet so far. You gotta get lucky to win these large field tournaments for sure.
