It is that time of the year again and World Series of Poker Satellite tournaments are springing up all over the place. Pokerstars and Full Tilt each have several ways of winning your way into the Main Event either by Player Points, Sit n Go’s or Super Satellites. This is a great way to win your seat without paying out a whole lot of money in the process. Besides most of the players in the Main Event have done the same thing and even some of the pros use super satellites to help protect their bankrolls.

So far I have played in four of them and got as close as two seats away from the Saturday Main Event Satellite on Pokerstars. The smaller tourneys that feed into the Saturday Main Event Satellite are wild and crazy as usual but if you can weather the first hour or so they usually settle down and you can pick your pick your spots as you progress. So if you are looking for a way to play in the big one then consider playing satellites and you just might find yourself in Las Vegas having not spent a dime to get there.
