CNBC Illegal Gambling Special
Posted by Curtom | December 16, 2009 | Posted in: Articles, News | Comments (4)I had an opportunity to sit down and watch the CNBC Illegal Gambling Special this evening and I thought they did a pretty good job. They highlighted arguments from both sides of the aisle and really broke down the reasoning behind why online gambling should be legalized and regulated in the United States. They also had a few of our friendly politicians on to discuss their take on it pro and con.
The consensus seemed to be that online gambling will be legal within a couple of years. I tend to agree with that assessment based on all of the information I have been able to tap into since this non-sense began. We are progressing and we should expect things to change in the short and long term. The fact of the matter is that $40 Billion dollars is a lot of money and it’s there for the asking.

I agreed with that assessment a couple years ago…still hoping.
Thanks for the comment Steve. Time will tell I suppose but I am still hopeful.
In Arizona we have legal horse betting so why not sports betting. The take on horses runs 18 to 25 percent which makes it a fools bet. Current Vegas take on football betting is less than 5 percent. Plus you get to use your knowledge of sports. Do the math and legalize sports betting. Arizona is going broke so now is a good time to bring in sports betting.
Thanks for the comment Gene
